Lexia Reading Core 5
Lexia Reading Core 5 is a web-based reading program that provides explicit, systematic, personalized instruction and practice in the six areas of reading:
- Phonological Awareness
- Phonics
- Structural Analysis
- Automaticity/Fluency
- Vocabulary
- Comprehension
Lexia Reading Core 5 is designed to meet the Common Core State Standards. Lexia provides teachers and parents with student performance data, predicts students’ year-end performance, and provides teachers with lesson plans to help students who are struggling with a concept.
We offer Lexia Reading Core 5 as remediation for students reading below grade level and as enrichment for students reading above grade level. Students reading on grade level are generally not offered Lexia; however, any parent can request and will be given access to Lexia Reading Core 5. If a parent would like to have his or her child given access to Lexia, please contact your child’s teacher. Lexia can be access at school and at home. To set up a home computer to use Lexia, parents will need their teacher’s email address, student user name, and student password.
